Pre-Move Management 

  • Develop a move time-line

  • Help determine which items to keep, sell or donate  

  • Communicate to all family members involved

  • Arrange for transfer of utilities 

  • Handle change of address with post office, subscriptions, memberships

 

​Prepare for New Space

  • Customized floor plan for new residence, utilizing current furniture or new

  • Shop for new furniture as needed

  • Coordinate the refurbishing of furniture, including re-upholstery, repairs, refinishing and painting​​

Oversee the Movers

  • Manage the moving company, including the contract

  • Oversee packing, move and unloading

  • Refer a moving company if needed

 

Manage Remaining Items

  • Coordinate with specialized resellers, appraisers, donation organizations, clean-out specialist

  • Arrange for shredding and junk removal  

  • Ensure household items are handled in a dignified, responsible manner 

  • Arrange shipping and storage

Moving Day

  • Supervise movers

  • Unpack all boxes 

  • Help organize belongings  

  • Remove all boxes and packing materials

  • Decorate new space, including hanging pictures, making beds, displaying collectibles 

  • Basic hook up of electronics and televisions

  • Handle items the moving company won’t, such as plants, refrigerated items, etc.

  • Make arrangement for pets during move

Sale of Home

We are not real estate agents, but we can help, including:

  • Refer a real estate agent, if needed

  • Light staging

  • Coordinate move-out services such as painters, cleaning crews, etc.

  • Coordinate with real estate agent on time-lines
